So anyway I was thinking about the music that I like and if I could pick just the best albums, albums that I'd sit down to without distraction and enjoy them. This is a list of albums that I've found I've often gone back to, despite having a lot of music on the shelf.
No point listing them in any order,
- Status Quo - Quo Live - This was the first album I put on my first iPod
- Squeeze - East Side Story
- Thin Lizzy - Live and Dangerous
- Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells
- Mike Oldfield - Ommadawn
- The Police - Reggatta de Blanc
- Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head
- Elbow - The Seldom Seen Kid
- David Bowie - Station to Station
- David Bowie - Aladdin Sane
- Shirley Bassey – The Remix Album
- David Bowie - Diamond Dogs
- Rush - 2112
- Pink Floyd - Wish you were here
And so it came to pass that I added these since
- Fat Freddy's Drop - Based on a True Story
- Genesis - Abacab
- Donald Fagen - The Nightfly
It's not exactly a well thought out list by any means, and I'm now fretting that I've possibly forgotten a gem that I'm going to have to add later
