Beer - #392 - Behemoth - Sacrilegious Saison Oaked Version

Settling into a peaceful Sunday with the second Behemoth Sacrilegious Saison  the 'oaked' version, dialling it up a notch!

So for the  Behemoth Brewing Company and  brewed at The Twisted Hop clearly in the  in the style that is a  Saison,  and this happens out of Auckland, somewhere.

This is a 500ml bottle of a beer with an ABV of 8.0%, making it around  3.15 Standard Drinks, witch would make it around 320 calories in the bottle

Bottle 11 of 300 BSSO

Bottle 11 of 300, says the label, first up best dressed!

Some may say this beer is sacrilegious to the beer purity gods. It is big on alcohol but finishes quite dry. This farmhouse style Saison Ale is scattered with peppercorns, bitter orange peel and a heavenly dose of Motueka hops.

Now then, after the 'standard version' I'm prepared for nothing. I'm not sure what the oaked will bring if anything, or nothing.

Beer - #391 - Behemoth - Sacrilegious Saison

Starting a peaceful Sunday with a Behemoth Sacrilegious Saison not to be confused with the 'oaked' version, which is next.

Bottle 219 of 300 BSS

Bottle 219 of 300 (hand written!) I feel special. (pictures below)

Beer - #390 - Bellerose - Bière Blonde Extra

I grabbed this based on the simplicity of the label mostly. Tonight them I'm drinking a Bellerose Bière Blonde Extra.

Brewed by Brasserie des Sources (formerly: de St. Amand) in the style that is a Golden Ale/Blond Ale and they are in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, France.

750ml bottle of beer that is 6.5% ABV and 195 calories a serve, about 400 for the bottle  and it about 3,3 standard dink units is this, which for a bottle of wine sized drink doesn't seem that much. Picked this up from HopScotch in Mt. Eden.

Bellerose is a Top fermented beer made with 3 hops from 3 different continents by Brasseries Des Sources(Brewery of the Springs). A mix between French "bière de Garde" and IPA with distinctive aromas of citrus & litchi with a hoppy but refreshing aftertaste.

Bellerose draws its inspiration from the 1950s era, a period during which beer was still intensely hoppy and stoutly refreshing. The use of an innovative cocktail of 3 hops brings to Bellerose a distinctive aroma of citrus & litchi with a refreshing aftertaste.

Cork and Cage delivery, cork was a difficult ask but a satisfying pop a it gave up the struggle.

Beer - #389 - Weird Beard - Holy Hoppin Hell Batch 3

Sportsball Sunday - and I'm going to get to half time with the Weird Beard Holy Hoppin Hell Batch 3 beer.

Brewed by Weird Beard in the style that is the Imperial/Double IPA and they are in London, England

330ml bottle of a monster 9.6%ABV beer,  that would be about 2.2 standard drinks in NZ, and 288 calories.

[caption id="attachment_8424" align="alignright" width="300"]Selfie Selfie[/caption]

Hoppier than a (insert joke here), and bitter as… Blah blah, just drink it! This double IPA is brewed with the same grain bill each time, to the same ABV and IBUs, but the late hops in each version will be whatever we think will wreak most havoc on your palates. Drink with intensely flavoured foods such as grilled meats and saucy barbecue or smelly cheese. Yeah, go for the smelly cheese. DON’T STORE, JUST DRINK IT! YOU’LL THANK US. Note: Hops change batch to batch

Brought mainly because this has fantastic bottle art, but pleasingly because the man in the store said it was 'interesting' and more like a Lambic in style. Who could resist?

Beer- #388 - Behemoth - Wet Dream Wet Hopped Double IPA

I'm not sure how these get named but this is from a tap into a growler to takeaway with me - the Behemoth- Wet Dream- Wet Hopped Double IPA

It has an 8.3 % ABV, so this bottle is 6.55 standard drink units.  about 200 calories  a serve of 350ml and there are 3 serves in this, and a smidge. Means a second lap of the block on my exercise. He said thoughtfully....

This is brewed for the  Behemoth Brewing Company but its Brewed at The Twisted Hop and it's a Double IPA in style

The Beer Giraffe has produced a wad of angry wet hopped wetness. Nelson Sauvin and some other sticky green flowers provide punchy fruitiness and mouth peeling bitterness.

All Nelson Sauvin hopped double ipa with fresh hops and other forms all through the brewing process

I had this out and about on my travels at a bar, but decided that I should have a crack at this in a different environment. So I stopped at the local place and filled up a litre. Thanks Hopscotch.
